Lot #1688 LARGE LOTS AND COLLECTIONS Copernicus on Stamps 1925-1980 large specialized collection on 508 pages, in 9 large volumes (housed in three cartons), hundreds of mostly unused singles, sets and souvenir sheets issued from different countries to commemorate Nicolaus Copernicus (1472-1543), the famous Polish Renaissance and Reformation-era mathematician and astronomer who formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at the center of the universe.
