 | Lot #257 United States - Air Post Flight Covers 1933 (15 July) attempted Ocean Flight, New York to Lithuania by Capt. Stefan Darius and Stanley Girenas, flight cover from New York to Kaunas, Lithuania, July 15, 1933 "Lituanica" cancel, franked with 3c violet, v.f., six line cachet and signed by both pilots. The two flyers died when their plane was wrecked at Soldin, Germany, about 400 miles short of their goal.
