 | Lot #118 AUSTRIA 1864 (1 Dec) registered cover (opened for display), franked on both sides with 5kr (2) and 15kr (6), paying 100kr from Bodenbach to His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Alexander II in St. Petersburg, stamps tied by Bodenbach 1/12 cds, framed "recomandirt" in red, also boxed Railway Station and St. Petersburg Chancellery 23 Nov 1864 arrival postmark (there was a 13 day difference between Julian and Gregorian calendars), back of the envelope is heavily restored, with small piece missing at top, still a remarkable usage to Russia  | Price Realized $1,300.00 |
