1945 Azerbaijan Soviet Puppet Government Issue, the complete set of 16, including 3 Rials green (key value, l.h.), all handstamped in Persian characters ("Azerbaijan National Government Dec. 12, 1945") ("Azerbaijan Melli Hokoomati 21 Azar 1324") by Communist group supported by the Soviet Army, mostly h.r., couple of minor creases or natural gum disturbances, many signed by Dr. M. Dadkhah, with Sadri certificates. A rare set, see note in Scott's following No.909 (also called "The Azerbaijan’s People’s Government", it lasted only one year and was overthrown when the central army, with the Soviet Union and other great powers' blessing, invaded in December 1946)
