1924-31 Mittelholzer Pioneer and Survey Flights, collection of 19 first flight covers and cards, most written-up exhibition style on pages. Walter Mittelholzer was a Swiss aviation pioneer, active as a pilot in 1924, he flew from Zurich to Teheran and was contracted by Junkers Aviation in Teheran to survey routes and airports in Persia. This collection includes First flight from Berlin, via Baku to Teheran; Teheran-Khaniki; Teheran-Niedersedlitz; Teheran-Paris; Teheran-Meshed; Teheran-Elbing; Teheran-Bushire; Teheran-Pahlevi, also to Baku, Baghdad, service to Bielsko, Poland (via Budapest) and First Flight Moscow-Teheran, occasional cover wear, mostly fine-v.f.
