 | Lot #128 United States - Air Post Flight Covers 1914 (17-18 Sep) Clayton, New Mexico. Fair Grounds Aviation Meet. During this meet, exhibition flights were given by the Rodgers Aviation Company owned and managed by the widow of the late "Cal" Rodgers, pilot of "Vin Fiz" fame. Flights were made by aviator Floyd Smith. A ppc (Martin Tractor and Floyd Smith), franked with a defective 1c green, tied by oval "First Aeroplane Post Office, Clayton, New Mex, Sept. 18, 1914" datestamp, card creased and somewhat dirty, nevertheless rare, one of only 4 (!) known,  Catalog #AAMC 81a Catalog Value $ 4,500 | Price Realized $525.00 |
 | Lot #129 United States - Air Post Flight Covers 1919 (7 July) Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co. of America corner cover addressed to London, sent via Dirigible R.34, endorsed "Per Airship 34", franked with 2c red, with Hempstead NY Jul 9 departure and "London R.34 July 13" arrival pmks, with contents enclosed, minor cover folds, fine and extremely rare Zeppelin cover (R34 left Britain on 2 July 1919 and arrived at Mineola, Long Island on 6 July after a flight of 108 hours with virtually no fuel left. As the landing party had no experience of handling large rigid airships, Major EM Pritchard jumped by parachute and so became the first person to reach American soil by air from Europe. This was the first East-West crossing of the Atlantic and was done two weeks after the first transatlantic airplane flight.  | Lot #132 United States - Air Post Flight Covers 1927-1931 two covers and one card, all addressed to Hungary, including First Airmail from Shore to Steamer U.S.S. Leviathan, 1930 Catapult cover via S.S. "Europa" to Debrecen, with Vienna and Berlin transits, Debrecen (24 Sep) arrival, plus 1931 "Justice for Hungary" flown card from Flint, Michigan, with pre-printed bilingual cachet `(in July, 1931, newspapers all over the world reported on the front page that two Hungarian pilots, Alexander Magyar and George Endresz crossed the Atlantic Ocean from the United States to Hungary in a Lockheed-Sirius airplane named "Justice for Hungary." The flight was intended to call attention to the dismemberment of Hungary after World War I. It was a spectacular success. On July 15, 1931, the trans-Oceanic flight left Harbor-Grace for Budapest on a non-stop flight of twenty-six hours.
