 | Lot #16 United States 1869 Pictorials 1869 15c brown and blue, type II, center inverted, lightly canceled, centered to bottom, two small tears at right, otherwise fine example of this popular rarity, with 1965 PFC. Of the 100 issued inverts, three are recorded unused and 96 used (one in the British Library's Tapling collection and one in the New York Public Library's Miller Collection).
