ARGENTINA Flight Covers
1921 (Mar) Buenos Aires to Asuncion del Paraguay flight, two 5c orange tied to front by machine cds (March 29), special printed label on back reading "Por Aeroplano / Piloto / Mayor S. G. Kingsley / Marzo 28 De 1921", tied by two diff Paraguay receivers (dates almost legible) incl. Asuncion, and by Buenos Aires Exterior cds (March 29), fine and rare example of this "forgotten" pioneer effort by aviator Shirley Kingsley (later responsible for Buenos Aires to Montevideo trial flights in 1923); this event not listed by Muller, AAMC, etc.

ARGENTINA Flight Covers
1929 (31 Oct) flight cover from San Antonio Oeste to Bahia Blanca, with pre-printed "Lineas Internas y Linea Bs. Aires - Asuncion" and "Via Aerea Aeroposta Argentina," Bahia Blanca arrival cds, signed by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, v.f., only 17 flown. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery was an aristocrat, French writer, poet and pioneering aviator. He became a laureate of several of France's highest literary awards and also won the U.S. National Book Award. He is best remembered for his novella The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) and for his lyrical aviation writings, including Wind, Sand and Stars and Night Flight. He was a successful commercial pilot working airmail routes in Europe, Africa and South America. At the outbreak of WWII he joined the French Air Force, flying reconnaissance missions until France's armistice with Germany in 1940. After being demobilized from the French Air Force he went to the United States to convince its government to quickly enter the war against Nazi Germany)
