 | Lot #2125 IRELAND 1922-23 Irish Free State - Alex Thom (SG 52-66) 1922 1/2p (2) and 1p, tied by "Long Puist" ("ship mail") cancel on cover to Plymouth, England, dated March 10, 1923, some creases away from the stamps, still v.f. This handstamp ("Long Puist") was introduced on December 29,1922, but the U.P.U. forced the Irish Post to withdraw it in favor of the "Paquebot - Posted at Sea - Dun Laoghaire" cancel which is still in use today.
