 | Lot #315 GERMAN COLONIES Caroline Islands 1899-1923 Specialized five-volume collection, starting with a cover from New York, via Honolulu to Ponape, received in Caroline Islands on 21 February, 1859 (Steuer certificate), 1897 stationery card from Bolivia, via London to Yap, overprinted stamps, Diagonal overprints unused (Mi.1 I-6 I), several of each, l.h. or n.h., blocks of four and vertical gutter pairs (cat. Euro 42,875), also used (cat. Euro 19,470), similar representation of the 56 degree overprints, 1900-15 Yacht (with and without watermark), with complete set of Specimen overprints, multiples, inscription singles and strips, shades and hundreds of used, separated by cancels, with multiple examples of high values, including 5M, many on pieces. Also included occasional errors and varieties (example: sheet of 5pf green, misperforated diagonally, with partly perforated margin at bottom). The 1905 "Taifun Provisionals" cancels on pieces and on cards (Mi.9H), also bisects of 20h, so-called third Ponape issue (Mi.10H), single on piece, also on cover  *O | Unsold |
