 | Lot #1397 RUSSIA - ZEMSTVO TIKHVIN 1871-1903 collection of 330 mostly unused stamps, mounted on 28 well described album pages, highlights include 1872 5k blue (No.7), rated "R" (but stained), 1879-1881 reprints (eight different, also three forgeries), 10 stamp size photographs of the scarce 1873 types, 1874 5k blue, light blue, two panes of 15, also individual types described separately, good representation of 1881 5k black on rose, including pairs and a block of 10. Perforated issues include studies of types and perforations, occasional imperf. proofs, missing background or color varieties, complete sheet of 77 of 3k black & brown, occasional mixed condition, with flaws possible, generally fine or better.
