A classic set of Postage Due rarities from Poland, only 40 (!) printed (10kr) and 80 (1kr and 5kr) printed. (Fi.D9-11, cat. 97,000zl) (Cherrystone last sold unused set of 1kr-10kr postage dues in 2011, hammer price $24,000 plus 15% buyer's premium. The set offered here is by far the best condition we have ever handled),

1919 10kr blue, overprinted in black, plate I, position 18, h.r., post office fresh and v.f., signed Koopman, Filatelia Krakow, Friedl etc., with 1977 Mikulski certificate ("die auflage von dieser marke betrug nur 15 stuck. Es ist die seltenste marke von Polen, Erhaltung sehr frisch und einwandfrei"). Of only 15 printed, less than 10 are accounted for, making this the rarest stamp from Poland (Fi.D12 II, 250,000zl) (Cherrystone has auctioned position 19, ex-Grabowski in 2004 for $35,500 and position 17 in 2009 for $55,000, each plus 15% buyer's premium)
