AUTOGRAPHS OF FAMOUS PEOPLE
1844 VICTORIA, Regina, Queen of England (Alexandrina Victoria,1819-1901) was the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death). A four page document, dated June 24, 1844 - Queen Victoria writes to the U.S. President John Tyler, confirming appointment of U.S. Consul to Hobart town (Tasmania), site of the early penal colony. The document is also signed (inner leaf) by Lord Aberdeen (George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, 1784-1860, a British politician, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1852 until 1855), boldly signed by Queen Victoria at top, royal wafer seal largely intact, some ageing, also an etching of an early portrait of Vitoria
