| Lot #1338 RUSSIA Flight Covers 1932 Umberto Nobile, correspondence to his family in Rome, four picture postcards, two registered, each addressed to Carlotta Nobile and signed "Umberto." (In 1931, Nobile left Italy to work for the next four years in the Soviet Union, where he helped with the Soviet semi-rigid airship program. Details of the Soviet Airship Program remain obscure, but there is an obvious Nobile influence in the design of the airships USSR-V5, and SSSR-V6)
