1873 cover franked with Austrian 3kr green (1867 issue), used in combination with 2kr engraved (1871 issue) from Nagy-Varad Varos 2/7/73 to Budapest, with arrival pmk (3/7), charged "8kr" postage due in manuscript (the 1867 issue was no longer valid for postage, hence 3kr due and penalty of 5kr was imposed), filing fold away from the stamps, fine and interesting post 1871 usage (illustrated in Ryan's "The rarest mixed frankings of Hungary," page 153, No.240), with 1993 Ferenc Orban certificate. An interesting domestic postage due letter

1921 5,000k dark green and pale blue, Madonna and Child, center inverted, very well centered and fresh, lightly hinged, imperceptible marginal crease at top, still very fine. One of the premier Inverted Centers of 20th century Europe; less than 100 examples reported (used and unused), with at least 38 of these tied up in museums, many others with quality problems, leaving very few opportunities for a collector to obtain one of these beautiful rarities (Mi.379I)
