 | Lot #489 GREAT BRITAIN Officials 1902 I.R.Official, 10sh ultramarine, watermarked Anchor, perf. 14, overprinted type O2, variety raised stop after the letter "R", unused without gum, with 1990 Heinz Georg Richter certificate which states "unused in perfect condition," also with 2010 BPA certificate, this one stating "pressed crease at upper left and color a little faded," quite harsh in our opinion as the color is perfectly even and crease totally marginal, hence very fine, pencil signed Hebert Bloch. A note from the BPA identifies this copy as position 1 of the block sold in 1947 by Harmer Rooke. A rarity from Great Britain, missing in most major collections as only 7 (!) examples have been recorded, apparently all without gum (SG O26a) (*) Catalog #O25a Catalog Value £120,000 | Price Realized $52,500.00
