 | Lot #1446 SWITZERLAND 1878 (18 June) cover franked with 2x25c green (left stamp defective at bottom), used from Mannenbach to King William’s Town, British Kaffraria, with Cape Town (6 Sep) and arrival (21 Sep) pikes on front, re-directed to "Colonel Rowland's Field Force acting against Sekhukhune Transvaal" (There were three separate campaigns against Sekhukhune - first in 1876 conducted by the Boers, others by the British, interrupted only by the Zulu War) with Durban (Oct 9) and G.P.O. Natal (Oct 10), as well as No.11 (Greytown) pikes on back, scarce destination and usage during a military campaign against Sekhukhune
