 | Lot #389 ECUADOR 1831 (ca) complete wrapper to Riobamba with ms “12oz” weight endorsement and oval "Republica de Colombia Alausi Franca" cancel in red, rated 36 reales (based on the packets rate of 3 reales per onza for distance up to 20 leagues, this under the new Ecuadorian tariff), (postmark used from 1831-36), fine strike from this small town south of Riobamba, no more than 10 recorded (the oval "Republica de Colombia" mark is noted to have been used in 13 different Ecuadorian towns, with 28 different types registered.
