 | Lot #22 United States 1875 Special Printing 1875 90c violet carmine, unused without gum as issued, scissor separated as often, excellent color, fine example of this rarity, with 2009 PFC. A note in Scott's confirms that "although perforated, these stamps were usually cut apart with scissors. As a result, the perforations are often much mutilated and the design is frequently damaged."
