RUSSIA - ZEMSTVO KAMYSHLOV
1914 (26 Feb) combination cover (opened for display, slightly reduced, with some minor flaws and pencil markings) from some village in the Kamyshlov district to Bobrovskoe, a church village in Irbit district (today Skomorokhova, about 80 km away from Irbit), franked on back with local 3k red, black and greenish blue, tied by framed "Kamyshlovskoye Zemsko-Pochtowoye otdelenye" datestamp, transferred to the Imperial post (27 Feb), with 7k blue paying for further transmission to Irbit, with arrival (28 Feb) cds alongside. Since Bobrovskoe village was serviced by the Imperial Post staring only in 1916, this letter had to be delivered via Irbit Zemstvo Post (free of charge); while there are no indications to confirm this, Dr. Nikitin believes that this is only known example of inter-district mail from Kamyshlov, ex-Baughman and Simon Wiesenthal collections, with 2006 Dr.Greis certificate ("Kamyshlov covers with private mail with Kamyshlov Zemstvo stamps are rather rare. I know only 10 examples, thus rating RR -
