 | Lot #2267 POLAND Russian Stamps used in Poland 1866 (26 Mar) stampless registered FL from Warszawa to Vienna, containing a bill of exchange of 300 Florins. On back, there are two wax seals, one reading "Warsaw Postamt Exp. Letters Abroad", with red departure and framed "Rekomendowany", also "Franco", with "10" in crayon, boxed Wien (27/3) arrival pmk on back, fine. According to regulations, Polish cancels were valid until 1864; replaced by Cyrillic thereafter, hence this letter with markings in Polish only is rarity  | Price Realized $3,000.00 |
