 | Lot #2016 POLAND pre-philatelic period 1850-53 two folded letters from "Bialobrzegi", sent by Polish parents to their son studying in in Dresden, routed via Warszawa and Breslau, with two different types of "Breslau-Myslowitz" transit datestamps, each with red town handstamp, dates filled-in by hand, horseshoe "Franco" and distinct Prussian rate handstamps (actually reduced from 39 3/4sgr to 22sgr). Both letters traveled by Warszawa-Vienna railway to Czestochowa, from there by mail coach to Oppeln (Opole) station, continuing with TPO Myslowitz-Breslau and Breslau-Berlin to Dresden, some tape defects, otherwise fine  | Price Realized $325.00 |
