 | Lot #1452 RUSSIA 1976 Rembrandt's Paintings in the Soviet Museums "Artaxerxes, Esther and Haman" souvenir sheet depicting the painting at left and artist's portrait at right, major error - the entire gold frame, value (50k) and inscription meant to be at top ("government Museum A.C. Pushkin - Moscow") inverted (!), with gold serial No. 232160 at left, n.h., minor gum wrinkles, v.f., with regular sheet shown for comparison. Discovered in 1982 (in a pack of regular souvenir sheets) this error remains to the only known example of this spectacular inverted color.
