 | Lot #181 UNITED STATES Revenue Stamps 1874 Proprietary Stamps, 2c green and black on green paper, center inverted, faintly cancelled (appears unused), centered slight to right, as is every known example, except this one is much better centered than most, v.f. This copy (and perhaps one other), may be the only fault free examples of this rarity in existence (Scott catalogue notes "No. RB2bc is valued with fine centering and small faults"), with 1983 PFC, ex-Joyce collection. In his privately published census, Larry Lyons records twelve copies of the 2c Proprietary invert on green paper.
