1871 Third Issue, 2c orange and black, center inverted, bottom sheet margin block of four, unused with slightly disturbed original gum, pencil notations and very fresh, top right stamp with a tiny, natural paper translucency of no importance, fine and rare multiple. According to the most definitive source on revenue multiples (see www.thecurtiscollection.com), there exists a block of six, three blocks of four, and two pairs of the 2c Third Issue Invert in multiples. This block is the only one with sheet margin, ex-Whitman and Fay collections, with 2002 PFC

1874 Proprietary Stamps, 2c green and black on green paper, center inverted, faintly cancelled (appears unused), centered slight to right, as is every known example, except this one is much better centered than most, v.f. This copy (and perhaps one other), may be the only fault free examples of this rarity in existence (Scott catalogue notes "No. RB2bc is valued with fine centering and small faults"), with 1983 PFC, ex-Joyce collection. In his privately published census, Larry Lyons records twelve copies of the 2c Proprietary invert on green paper. Of these, five appear to be used, and all twelve have at least one fault, with 1989 PFC,
