 | Lot #183 UNITED STATES California State Revenue Documentary Stamps 1857-66 collection of 23 mostly diff. imperf. mint sheets of four, with both Bill of Lading and Marine Insurance issues, denominations up to $50,000(!), with controller's surcharges, also additional 111 sheets and 29 singles without the controller's marks (found in the state archives), with some unlisted varieties, many unique, with invoices from Phil Ward showing that the owner paid $50-$200 per sheet in 1960(!), also 100+ Oregon and Nevada State revenues, mostly fine or better  *O | Unsold |
