The stamps were cancelled "21" in London, which suggests the cover may have been privately carried to St. Thomas and placed on the "Magdalena" which arrived in London on 19th January (backstamp), with Santander arrival (28 January 1859), red "PD" (paid to destination), some overall ageing, fine and scarce cover
