 | Lot #301 BRITISH COMMONWEALTH JORDAN 1920-1965 the much duplicated collection formed by a foremoust expert in Jordianian philately, housed in 10+ stock books, arranged by Scott's catalogue order, thousands, including blocks and some complete sheets, predominantly mint, compilation of one major collection acquired in 2003 as well as additional items added along the way. Using Stanley Gibbons catalogue, the first issue (SG 1/19) includes the rare perf. 15x14 2m silver overprint (SG 2a), also double overprint, one albino, numerous "extra dot" and "screw head" varieties, also different types of overprint; 5p purple horizontal pair, right stamp overprint type 1a, pos. 95-96 (SG 7,7a), 9p ochre (SG 8 two unused, signed), full panes of 2m and 4m (2,3), also forgeries. SG 20-36 features 2m block of four, upper left stamp without surcharge (SG 29a), multiple varieties, several 2p value unused, surcharges in different colors including the rare violet, others with value omitted, one vertical (ex-Maj.
