 | Lot #1001 LARGE LOTS & COLLECTIONS GREECE 1861-1881 Large Hermes Heads, specialized collection of 500 used and unused on pages, using the "Spink-Truman" classification, with each printing clearly identified and described in detail with respect to color and ink, impression, paper and gum, as well as control figures. Stamps are arranged by value from 1 Lepton to 80 Lepta and identified by Scott's numbers, also Munks, Constantinides and Stanley Gibbons. The collection begins with No.1, followed by No.8, 16, 23, 30, 32, 38, 43 (all those being 1L); continuing with No.2 and so on. All major numbers are represented including First Athens Provisional 20L dark blue (No.10) used, with three nice margins, but cut in at left. There are numerous unused examples of the scarce stamps, with many shades, apparently correctly identified (although this will be up to the buyer to verify). Many are with margins all around and with gum, others without gum, also occasionally cut in at sides, with some thins and other minor faults (same for the used stamps).
