1886 extensive collection of used and unused singles, blocks and varieties, with much duplication starting with the first issues 5c, 10c, 25c 50c singles and blocks of four, 5fr unused, two distinct shades, second issue 2-3 of each used and unused, with distinct shades of 5fr violet (two unused) and others, later issues with numerous perforation varieties, compound perfs, plate flaws, specialized and extensive handstamps (Congo Belge inverted, double etc.), cancels, sheetlets, imperf. pairs, substantial Parcel Post, also occasional Postage Due handstamps and few covers and cards, mixed condition, with some toning or gum problems to be expected. LARGE LOTS & COLLECTIONS BELGIAN CONGO
1886-1940 specialized collection written up exhibition style on pages, housed in 11 large volumes, first issue to 5fr (used), with unused multiples (10c sheet of 50), marginal inscription blocks, plate flaws and varieties, sheet positions indicated, also reference material (Lenoir forgeries in sheetlets of 10), used and unused stationery; 1887 Leopold to 5fr lilac (used), also overprinted Specimen (perfs trimmed at top); 10fr buff used (two copies, one identified as a forgery), used unissued 50fr, plus 15 used or unused stationery cards. There is an extensive plating study of the Mols and Van Engeles 1894-1909 issue, with major plate flaws depicted, values to 10fr unused and unused, also plated (positions 1-50) with only 8 missing for 5c blue & black (Scott's No.14), also same repeated for most other values to 10fr, some in blocks four, 10c green & black sheet, 50c green & black sheets of 50, 1fr lilac & black, multiple unused singles and block of four, 1fr carmine & black unused singles, 5fr used and unused
