1851 (6kr) scarlet, type IIIb, the so-called red Mercury ("Zinnberoter Merkur"), unused without gum, large even margins all around, incredibly fresh color and impression, small translucency which according to the certificate could be either a natural production flaw or picked out natural inclusion, otherwise v.f., signed Alberto Diena and Dr.Ferchenbauer, with 1954 and 2001 certificates from each, the latter stating "Es handelt sich um ein bildseitiges rel. Prachtstuck! dieser Welt-Seltenheit." A wonderful stamp, ex-King Farouk of Egypt collection (Mi.9, cat. Euro 40,000 for unused without gum)
