 | Lot #9 UNITED STATES - REVENUES Revenue Stamps 1871 Third Issue, 2c orange and black, center inverted, bottom sheet margin block of four, unused with slightly disturbed original gum, pencil notations and very fresh, top right stamp with a tiny, natural paper translucency of no importance, fine and rare multiple. According to the most definitive source on revenue multiples (see www.thecurtiscollection.com), there exists a block of six (see previous lot), three blocks of four, and two pairs of the 2c Third Issue Invert in multiples.
