 | Lot #11 UNITED STATES Proprietary Stamps 1874 2c green and black on green paper, center inverted, faintly cancelled as to appear unused, centered slight to right, as is every known example, except this much better centered than most, v.f. This copy (and perhaps one other), may be the only fault free examples of this rarity in existence (Scott catalogue notes "No. RB2bc is valued with fine centering and small faults"), with 1983 PFC, ex-Joyce collection. In his privately published census, Larry Lyons records twelve copies of the 2c Proprietary invert on green paper. Of these, five appear to be used, and all twelve have at least one fault, with 1989 PFC, O Catalog #RB2bc Catalog Value $ 9,000 | Unsold

 | Lot #12 UNITED STATES Proprietary Stamps 1874 3c green and black on green paper, center inverted, light pen cancel, centered to left, with a small thin spot at top and small stained spot at bottom, very fresh and bright colors, fine. Of the eight recorded copies of this stamp, four are repaired, one has a corner missing, and three have additional faults. Without a doubt, this is one of the rarest U.S. stamps, with 1989 PFC, O Catalog #RB3ad Catalog Value $ 14,000 | Unsold
