 | Lot #7189 CHINA 1914-19 First Peking printing $2 black and blue, center inverted, a magnificent example from the lower right sheet corner of the sheet with complete selvedge on two sides, deep bright colors, uncharacteristically well centered, nearly perfect within large margins, fresh, lightly hinged in lower selvage only, stamp never hinged and post office fresh, v.f., signed Peter Holcombe. A magnificent and beautiful gem, for the finest collection, undoubtedly the best possible quality known of this popular error (a comparable, but not nearly as well centered example from the upper right corner margin recently sold at auction in Hong Kong for HK $1,700,000 plus buyer's premium). It is believed that only about 30 examples of this error are known today.
