Colonel J.D. Macklay when the handstamp was not readily available, with 2004 Robert Gibbs cert. The British occupied Mafia, a small island off the delta of the Rufiji River, in January 1915, as a base of operations against the cruiser "Konigsberg", which had holed up in the delta to repair her boilers.
