1915 (21.4) postcard (corner defects) from Konigheim, Germany to a Catholic missionary in Lindi, with faint boxed routing has "Via Lissabon-Mosambik-Porto Amelia-Palma", partly covered by June 8 Lourenco Marques receiving pmk. This card would have been in the final transfer of mail by the Portuguese across the Rovuma River into German East Africa

1915 collection of 11 covers or cards to German East Africa, many via still neutral Lisbon and Portuguese East Africa, with Ibo, Nyassa Company, Palma, one from French Madagascar, another written before the war from Switzerland, sent via Italy to India where it ended up in Bombay dead-letter office ("no communication between India & the country of destination" label), others from Copenhagen, Italy, United States etc., some reaching Mombasa or Zanzibar, others "Zuruck", returned due to lack of transport and other markings, all expertly written up, fine-v.f.

1915 three covers or cards, two to naval officers processed by the "Marine Postbureau", one to the commander of the oceanographic survey ship "SMS Mowe", returned with notation that delivery was not feasible (The "Mowe", of the "Konigsberg/Mowe" provisionals fame, was scuttled in Dar-es-Salaam harbor shortly after the war began); fieldpost card to Capt. Brocks, of the "SMS Planet" ( sister ship of the "Mowe"), returned as undeliverable (Brocks was by then in German East Africa), finally British East Africa card sent (28 July) from Mombasa to Muanza, delivered in late June 1915 on the coastal steamer "SS Duplex" in exchange for mail from British internees and POWs held by the Germans, interesting lot, last card signed Steuer
