 | Lot #122 GERMAN EAST AFRICA Fieldpost - Railroad Cancels 1915 (Sep) two Fieldpost covers with Usambara Railroad cancels, each with large "5" ("1" missing of year-date), "Zug 2" and Zug 6" markings, fine. The Northern (Usambara) railroad, which ran from Moschi in the shadow of Kilimanjaro to Tanga on the Indian Ocean, served as an important line of communication of the main body of con Lettow-Vorbeck's troops protecting the Colony from invasion by forces building up in the British East Africa.
