 | Lot #124 GERMAN EAST AFRICA Fieldpost - Station No. 2 1916-17 three covers, each with clear Feldpoststation 2 pmks (large "16" and Berlin "17"), one to the Tabora District Office (overall toning), another franked with pair of 4h stamps, accepted by Fieldpost No.2 (by this time the regular postal system in unoccupied South was restricted only to the Mahenge and Mohoro post offices, with the Schutztruppe responsible for properly franked civilian mail), last one addressed in Swahili to a native in Liwale, also a single 2 1/2h adhesive on piece, cancelled Feldpost Station No.2, on October 15, 1917 (two days before it shut down), with Lukuledi area firm  | Price Realized $1,600.00 |
