 | Lot #2007 THE ALEXANDER COLLECTION - POLAND 1858 Russia 10k brown & blue (1), margins all around, cancelled by pen and tied by red "Granica 3/3" cds on complete FL to Warszawa, with red "Warszawa 4/3" and "9/R" (9:00 A.M.) arrival pm back. The Warsaw-Vienna railway section terminated at the Polish border, where a post office was established to process transiting mail. Letters passing through this post office either to or from Warszawa received the "Granica" (border) circular postmark with two-line date, without indication of year. The original pen cancel was lightened (at the time) and stamp re-used from Granica. This cover is illustrated in Bojanowicz, plate 11 and rated RRR (unique!), ex-Mertens and Faberge collections (sold in 1940, lot 467), signed Bojanowicz
