1856 1r yellow, 3x8r red lilac (Mexico), paying 25 reales (covering postage and registry for 6 1/2 oz parcel), on registered front, with boxed "Certification a Mexico 26 August 1856" datestamp, addressed to Puebla, filing fold between stamps, v.f. During the era of these stamps, postal rules required that the fronts of registered letters or parcels be countersigned on the back by the addressee and returned to the sender as proof of delivery
