 | Lot #1 UNITED STATES - ROOSEVELT ALBUM 1847-1902 "Roosevelt presentation album" containing 308 different small die proofs (including Cuba Scott's cat. No. 227-31,E2), mounted on 17 double sided gilt-edged gray card pages (also seven blank pages) in a padded leather-bound album (slightly worn). The proofs are bright, fresh and complete, with Special Delivery, Postage Dues, Carriers and Locals, Officials and Newspaper stamps. The condition, aside from a few incomplete glassine interleaves, is generally v.f., with some usual oxidation to rose colors. Of the 85 originally printed, only a handful of these albums remain intact. This album was presented in 1903 to Francis E.
