Lot #3418
RUSSIA Russian Offices in China
1910 ppc from Harbin with motherly routine "sending you tuition money" message to her student son in Moscow. By the time the card arrived in Moscow, the poor student was arrested, apparently for political reasons. The card was re-directed to jail and censored (blue "Censored - Prosecutor, Moscow District" handstamp). Highly unusual Chinese Eastern Railway & political censorship combination illustrating the vastness & resulting communication difficulties in the old Russia
