1858 1/2p orange yellow, two singles, types C and E, large margins all around, used with 1p red, cancelled by two strikes of red "Hualg" (Hualgayoc) straight line on Judicial wrapper (part cut away, sealed tear and restored) addressed to the president of the Supreme Court in Trujillo, with corresponding oval coat of arms at lower left, docketed with April 6, 1859 date, fine and possibly unique combination franking of the 1858 Medio Peso and 1859 One Peseta (the franking is half of the postage of the preceding lot from the same correspondence. The Medio Peso was declared unnecessary by the decree of June 18, 1858, and the remainders were destroyed. Its usage on cover is quite rare), ex-Bustamante and "Islander" collections (where it realized $8,625 including buyer's premium)
