 | Lot #2017 ARGENTINA LOCALS - BUENOS AIRES 1858 upper left diagonal half of 4p (Cuato Ps) vermilion, top sheet margin showing patterned frameline, uncancelled on FL to Buenos Aires, datelined Dolores, Nov. 5, 1858, sender's "Franco" endorsement, indicating prepaid, lettersheet with minor edge strengthening and reinforcements, cleaned, otherwise fine. Stated to be the only recorded example of the 4 peso bisect on cover, certainly one of the most exciting Barquitos letters, ex-Jewell, Neuberger, also "Islander" collections (where it realized $21,850 including buyer's premium), with 1966 Kneitschel cert.
