 | Lot #2460 PERU 1858 diagonal half of Medio Peso used as Two Peseta on outer folded letter to Arequipa, tip of bisect slightly rounded, tied by "Puno" oval and negative stars handstamp, with December 16, 1859 origin date docketing, fine. Stated to be one of two recorded examples of the Medio Peso bisect (the other also postmarked at Puno, but in 1860), ex-"Islander" (where it realized $25,300 including buyer's premium), signed Bloch, with Roger Calves cert.
