By the time the card arrived in Moscow, the poor student was arrested, apparently for political reasons. The card was re-directed to jail and censored (blue "Censored - Prosecutor, Moscow District" handstamp). Highly unusual Chinese Eastern Railway & political censorship combination illustrating the vastness & resulting communication difficulties in the old Russia
