 | Lot #789 ITALY Air Post 1928-34 Pond & Sabelli flight, a huge archive from the estate of Sabelli, with 1928 Shipper's Export declaration filed for the attempted flight to Rome in Bellanca's plane "Roma", signed agreement between Bellanca and Sabelli to settle the ongoing litigation over the engine failure on 1928 attempted flight to Italy; signed and unsigned photographs (400-500). newspaper clippings related to the flight, signed photo of the king given to Sabelli during the 1934 reception, signed photo of Marconi, with a 1934 dedication to Sabelli, signed photo and dedications by Balbo, log books of the various flight, correspondence with the promoter of the flight (Capt. Ugo D'Annunzio, son of the famous poet), numerous mementos of the reception in Italy, heavy navigation compass taken off the "Leonardo da Vinci" airplane, Sabelli's uniform and shoes and much more. A wonderful lot for both aviation historians and memorabilia buffs
