 | Lot #803 ITALIAN COLONIES Trieste Zone A 1954 25L rose carmine, unissued "Pinocchio", well centered, fresh and v.f., with 2009 Colla cert. The Pinocchio stamp was issued in Italy on October 26, 1954 and was overprinted "AMG-FTT" with the intention of being used in Trieste under the Allied Military Government. However, shortly afterwards, control of Trieste was returned to Italy and the stamps were destroyed.
