 | Lot #2166 COLOMBIA Air Post 1923 In 1923 many stamps, including 640 sheets of the 30c value, disappeared from a shipment sent by the steamer "Christian Horn". This was a substantial financial loss and in order to detect the missing stamps, the remaining stock were overprinted with a small control "dot" (secret dot). The color of the dot is the same as the stamp and the overprinted values are sometimes difficult to notice. They exist mostly on the 30c value and are also known on 10c and 60c.
