| Lot #2023 CARPATHO-UKRAINE Mukacevo - handstamped "CSR" 1944 In late 1944, a number of Hungarian stamps were overprinted at Mukacevo (Munkacs) with the letters "C S R" (Czechoslovakian Republic), in anticipation that Carpatho Ukraine would again become part of Czechoslovakia. These overprints have not been officially recognized, but were nevertheless used postally.
